The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.
SASSA might be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration sassa status check Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The service level designed for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the status sassa office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out more info programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
